i’m just always. so fucking soft for aragorn legolas and gimli.. the three hunters. brothers in arms. they were there for each other from beginning to end and never faltered once throughout the whole journey. the second aragorn is alone and facing death gimli and legolas seem to appear out of thin air to help him. gimli jumping off the wall into a literal army of uruk hai at helm’s deep to save aragorn. aragorn leading a charge of elves to save gimli. legolas always searching for his friends even in the heat of battle. pulling them to safety when they’re about to be overwhelmed. his and gimli’s heartbreak when they think aragorn died falling off the cliff. “you’re friends are with you aragorn.” following aragorn under the mountain into the arms of certain death. legolas pushing through the fighting to try and reach aragorn when the troll almost kills him.
